Putin's friend as Chair of Central Ellection Commision!

Vladimir Churov has been elected chairman of the Russian election watchdog to replace the outgoing Alexander Veshnyakov. The Central Election Commission endorsed Mr. Churov in a 13-2 vote on Tuesday.

Churov does not have any legal or election commission experience but is a close colleague of Putin's.

Wonders never seize, one question arises though - why bother with elections at all?
